Shop of the Weekend--Fresh Picked Fabrics!

I've decided to start having a featured shop each Friday for shoppers to hit up on the weekend!

Our shop of the week is Fresh Picked Fabric / Cranberry Quiltworks / Threaded Pear! There's a shop here in southern California that is to die for. Their fabric selection is amazing and gets new stuff in all the time!

The Cranberry Quiltworks part is that they have quilt machines you can rent and make a quilt right there in their store! It's a great idea and they have classes in order to get your "driver's license" to "drive" the machine.

Threaded Pear Patterns are the pattern company they own and sell in their store. There are sooooo many patterns from aprons to dresses to anything else you can think of!

It's such a quality shop and it seems like there's so much new stuff popping up every week! Gina is the owner and she's almost always there which makes the shop so much more personal.

Another Non-fashion

I loooooooove this. I love toast by itself because it's plain, but I looooove that this makes toast fancy. I found this from my black book. Go look at the whole Table Manners Collection here because it is so fun--I love this also.

i've been trying to keep this blog on a fashion or blogger theme, but i just cannot resist this...

i also found this (on another blog...i'm sorry i didn't save where i found it or else i'd reference it, but i didn't think it would be a big deal, but it's JUST SO COOL THE MORE I LOOK AT IT!!!)  since my egg is a large, straight from the fridge, and i like it runny, this is what shows up:

then a timer shows up and you can watch a video to pass the time of waiting for your egg to cook---GENIUS.

 

 i might just be cooking eggs tomorrow just so i can use this!

Valentines Day Card Swap!

Even with my mistake of sending blank cards, I still loved sending and receiving them!

As of today, I've gotten 3/5 of the cards that are coming, but here are pictures of them! I got a great one from Erin with a packet of tea (does she know me, or what?), one from Angie, and one from Ally--all so beautiful!

There are fewer things I love more than tea and "happy colors" and at Crown & Crumpet we have both!  It's a fantastic tea shop in San Fransisco that if I lived there I would absolutely go to every day!  Everything inside it is gorgeous and I have some clutches that are coming up with the color combinations inspired by Crown and Crumpet!
